SYNOPSIS

Daddy-Boy’s hometown is a remote Alaskan village and it is literally sinking. Together with the Army he is building Americas first climate-change refugee town, his future home.Binodini and Durga have lost 8 houses to the Indian Ocean in their life. But now that their whole island is eroding away, they urgently need a new plan.Zhou’s farmland in China has dried up and sandstorms poison the air. His neighbors were forced to migrate. But what will he do now that the government has forbidden everyone from leaving?

Vanishing Worlds is the portrait of 3 families as climate change destroys their livelihoods forever and forces them to migrate. It is the bottom up, real-life story of those at the forefront of this global disaster.
